It has been 5 years since I emigrated to the UK and I have completed the requirements to settle in the UK. I am now a permanent resident, in a further year, subject to meeting the requirements, I will be able to register as a British Citizen.

Since I moved to the UK, I have made breakthrough in my career, with the major achievement being improving GTFS-RT to make it capable to represent the real-time operations of National Rail. Besides that, I have also taken my marathon swimmer identity further and swum the English Channel and the Bristol Channel as a soloist, crewed another fellow Hongkonger Ingrid Chow in her English Channel swim, and formed a “Hongkongers in the UK” relay team as well, strengthening the integration of Hongkongers into the British swimming community.

I have lived my life under British values and British rule of law, and speak fluent English. I feel proud to be a British Hongkonger. God save the King!
